What Does a Bead Mill Do?
What It Does
The horizontal bead mill grinds and disperses liquid materials with solid particles (pigments, fillers, etc.) to achieve micron or nano-level fineness through impact and shear between grinding media and material.
How It Works
Pre-dispersed slurry is pumped into the enclosed grinding chamber. The high-speed rotating rotor drives the grinding media (zirconia beads) to impact, rub and shear the material. A separator retains the media while the ground material flows out.
